Sample Screenshots (from xl-IQ 2007)
To give you an idea of what xl-IQ will look like while a training exercise is in progress
It is very difficult to show how xl-IQ works using static screenshots, but until you have downloaded a demo version to evaluate, the below examples should give you an idea of how xl-IQ interacts with the Excel 2007 user-interface:

Screenshot 1 - taken from within Exercise 1: What's New in Excel 2007?

The screenshot on the right is taken from within Exercise 1 - 'What's New in Excel 2007?'. This training exercise introduces the new Excel 2007 ribbon Interface, and then moves on to explore all of the new and improved features.

The screenshot shows the point within this exercise where the improved Cell Styles feature is being explained - it allows you to quickly adjust the overall formatting of a worksheet cell to a pre-defined style. This can either be by using one of the many built-in styles that you can see within the dropdown gallery inside the screenshot, or it can be a custom style that you have designed yourself.

The 'Test' style that the mouse is currently hovering over at the top of this Cell Styles dropdown gallery is a very simple example of a custom style, which if chosen would just set the background colour of the selected worksheet cell to green.

Screenshot 2 - taken from within Exercise 6: Formatting Tools

The screenshot on the right is taken from within Exercise 6 - 'Formatting Tools'. This training exercise explores the many different ways in which you can change the way that a worksheet cell is displayed, such as changing the font used within a cell, or changing the cell's background colour.

The screenshot shows the point within this exercise where the new Workbook Themes feature is being explained - it allows you to quickly modify the colours, fonts and graphical effects within the entire workbook by just choosing a new Theme for this workbook.

This can be one of the pre-defined Themes that Excel provides, or it can be a Custom Theme that you have designed yourself.

In the screenshot the effect of changing from the default Office theme to the Equity theme is currently being illustrated.

Screenshot 3 - taken from within Exercise 8: Printing

The screenshot on the right is taken from within Exercise 8 - 'Printing'. This training exercise explores the many different ways in which you can customise what a worksheet will look like when it is printed, such as what information to actually print and how many pages to use to do this.

The screenshot shows the point within this exercise where the new Page Layout View is being explained. This new view allows you to work directly with the Printing features of a worksheet, such as the margins, headers and footers, while still working as normal within each worksheet cell.

The moment captured within the screenshot is illustrating how you can easily change the header that will be printed along the top of each page by just selecting the header area within this new Page Layout View.

You can just type in the header that you would like to use, although another method being illustrated here is to instead use one of the dynamic built-in Headers that Excel provides, such as Page 1 of ?.
